Sergey Petrossov – the man who created Uber for the skies – on his wanderlust ways

Jonathan Holmes
By Jonathan Holmes, Founder & CEO

Don’t you sometimes wish Uber chartered planes? Turns out, if it did, it would be late in the game – seems someone else got there first. Founded by Sergey Petrossov, JetSmarter is the private jet service which “[connects its] members to idle jets and unused seats around the world” and Jay-Z and the Saudi royal family just so happen to have been some of its early investors.

“[It] has truly reinvented private air travel, creating a ‘country club in the sky’ and enabling guests to travel to over 170 countries worldwide”, a spokesperson for the brand explains. “[It offers] world-class membership benefits including access to exclusive events, use of their helicopter transfer and even a 24/7 concierge service. Members can book private flights within 5 minutes on their phone and turn up just 15 minutes before their flight!” Wow. How do we sign up?

Considering he is arguably one of the most well-travelled young entrepreneurs in the world (Forbes named him one of its 30 Under 30s), we couldn’t wait to speak to Sergey. Here he offers his advice (and style tips) on four of his favourite destinations, all now with routes from London.
