INSPIRATION
Definition and balanced shapes are the starting point for all my paintings. This firm first step is often drawn from the works of other contemporary and abstract artists. With this foundation, I can then build the managed layers of paint and introduce the formula of chance into my work. This drives my mind to another world, a good world.
THE BOND EFFECT
All original paintings are photographed at an exceptionally high resolution. This enables me to lift out of the original much deeper aspects that I can enhance in size. These specific extractions are then transferred to photographic C-Type Kodak paper. The photo is then bonded to Lucite, once bonded to the front of the photo the refraction of light gives a higher definition of deeply saturated colour, finally mounted onto 2mm Dibond substrate to create a sleek borderless surround. There is a gap between the work and the moulding creating a floating effect within the box frame colour of your choice.
