The calm before the storm

“The Bloody Mary is a great one to have for brunch as it is the ultimate convivial cocktail! It has also become part of the morning-after toolbox, perfect for those indulging a little more than usual over the festive period.”

Ingredients

50ml Ketel One vodka
100ml tomato juice
10ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
15ml spicy mix (Worcester sauce, mustard, fresh coriander, salt, pepper, horseradish, Tabasco, soy sauce)
Celery air
Nutmeg

Method

Put all ingredients into a shaker filled with ice and roll. Strain into a coupe glass and garnish with celery air. Grate nutmeg to top.

An evening family gathering

Ingredients

1 white sugar cube
5 dashes Peychaud’s bitters
5ml crème de violette
15ml Rémy Martin VSOP cognac
Champagne to fill

Method

Soak the sugar cube with Peychaud’s bitters, gently drop in a champagne coupe filled with the rest of the ingredients. Top up with champagne and garnish with a rose petal.

The big day arrives

Ingredients

50ml Dalmore Connaught cask whisky
15ml Sipsmith sloe Gin
20ml fresh lemon juice
10ml simple syrup
10ml 30 year old paolo cortado sherry
2 dashes of Dr Ago Ginseng Bergamot bitters
Green mandarin essence

Method

Shake all ingredients except the sherry. Strain into an old-fashioned glass over a chunk of ice. Garnish with an aromatic lemon peel.

Winding down

30ml Barsol Pisco
40ml Tamarillo Konbucha
10ml St. Germain elderflower
Umeshu sorbet
Jasmine blossom

Method

Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a wooden vessel over ice chunks. Garnish with jasmine blossoms.
