September has arrived and, as is customary, the new season collections are stepping forward in full force. Be it in fashion or interiors, brands are primed to flaunt their latest wares to an audience that’s eager to lap up newness and embrace the turn of the seasons. Here, our resident creative buyer, Jessica Harding, reveals who you can expect to join the designer portfolio at LuxDeco for AW20 with eight new brands in our new season line-up.

GREG NATALE

Speak the name Greg Natale and people take notice. The multi award-winning and LuxDeco 100 interior designer, acclaimed for his penchant for vivid colour and beguiling pattern, is a man who has an intimate understanding of glamour in the world of interiors as well as an impressive roster of projects and even decorating books to his name.

Perhaps unsurprisingly then, it was a natural progression for Natale to launch his own line of decorative accessories and furniture which he unveiled in New York’s Bergdorf Goodman last year.

Much like his iconic aesthetic, his collections encompass the most beautifully luxurious assortment of materials and finishes—acrylic and platinum bowls, marble mosaic tiles, mottled tiger pen shell frames, and solid maple occasional tables and collaborations with names-to-know like the Greg Natale x Keith Haring tableware edit.

New Brands for Autumn Winter 2020 | Theodore Alexander furniture | LuxDeco.com

THEODORE ALEXANDER

“One of the finest luxury furniture brands in the world” is how Theodore Alexander describes itself, and rightly so. They serve to marry function and beauty, quality and excellence, innovation and heritage in every one of its creations, and have done since the day of its inception in 1996.

Even in its most restrained in detail pieces, the level of supreme craftsmanship is immediately evident, be it thanks to the weight of its handles, the smoothness of its drawer runners or the exquisite patina that reassures you that a Theodore Alexander product is one to treasure forever.

With collaborations with many other leading names in the design industry under its belt (Steve Leung, Ralph Lauren, Alexa Hampton et al.), to own and love a Theodore Alexander creation is to have and to hold an example of the finest artisanship the industry has to offer.

CENTURY

Both wooden furniture and upholstery is where Century’s expertise truly lies, having blossomed into a 70-year-old brand associated with state-of-the-art manufacturing and exacting standards for its worldwide customer base.

Its pieces are made in Hickory, North Carolina, the traditional centre of American fine furniture, where its earliest products were also realised back in 1947—an 18th-century style mahogany dining suite being one of its furniture debuts. But Century has equally been crafting its own upholstery collections since 1957 at its facility that has total control of the end-to-end cycle, from frame-making to custom covers.

As summarised by its founder, Harley F. Shuford, Sr: “We strive to make furniture of such impeccable quality that it brings joy not only to the people who own it, but also to the craftsmen who build it."

OFFICINA LUCE

Lighting couture is how many describe the works of art by the designers at Tuscany’s Officina Luce. Naturally functional indeed, but it’s the decorative aspect to this Italian brand’s product portfolio that has earned it its stripes, being applauded by interior designers the world over.

Its chandeliers are transfixing, its wall sconces more sculptural and room enhancing than a hung artwork, its table lamps a thing of beauty whether illuminated or not, and all are the result of the incredible handiwork of the Florentine artisans to whom it commits all of its craftsmanship.

SLIM AARONS

On the subject of hung artwork, next we welcome a gallery by iconic photographer Slim Aarons (1916-2006) whose storytelling of the golden age of wealth and splendour is applauded by curators and collectors far and wide.

Having begun his photography career during his time in the army, his pieces capture everything from combat through to the Hollywood elite with his photo-taking genius coveted by the world’s most fashionable of magazines—Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar to name but two.

Regarded as one of the most influential photographers of his time, for AW20, we’ve curated a series of his prints with customisable details from frame to size.

New Brands for Autumn Winter 2020 | CTO Lights | LuxDeco.com

CTO LIGHTING

Fellow creative directors Chris and Clare Turner launched CTO lighting to celebrate both British craftsmanship and the clean character of contemporary design.

Their workshop is a powerhouse of design that relishes in taking time-honoured techniques that require a slow, meticulous approach and transforming heritage into cutting-edge creations. Sleek and chic they may be, but it’s the fusion of old and new that make their lights fitting for every type of environment from residential to commercial, from contemporary to classic and from small to spacious.

Mouth-blown glass shades, hand-finished brass and bronze bases and sculpted stone pedestals are three tell-tale signs of a CTO Lighting creation, attracting well-known clients such as The Savoy, The Dorchester and Chiltern Firehouse like a moth to a flame.

New Brands for Autumn Winter 2020 | Adamsbro cushions | LuxDeco.com

ADAMSBRO

And finally to a niche brand that might be niche, but with niche comes expertise, passion, and a second-to-none reputation, for Adamsbro is where those who share a love for all things equestrian and all things interiors are herded.

While there are those who are in search of horse or bridle motifs to decorate their cushion covers, there are others who seek the subtler side to equestrian inspiration. This is where Adamsbro thrives on both counts from its wide use of leather reminiscent of bits and reigns, its details such as stirrup-shaped buckles that clasp shut a jewellery or cufflink box, or a palette that reflects equine coat hues, such as the honey-hued Palomino or the alabaster Perlino on its velvet cushions and cashmere blankets.

Its every accessory is designed in Sweden and yet embodies the character of the English countryside with absolute precision—ideal for gifting to showjumping and point-to-point companions in your inner circle.

OCHRE HOUSE

As part of our ongoing British brands pledge, we were very excited to welcome London-based Ochre House to the collection.

A highly esteemed maker principally for bespoke commissions from interior designers, Ochre House is where those who seek far much more than simply a piece of furniture turn.

Their concepts begin life in the London atelier before being crafted in their very own workshop in Porto—a location synonymous with luxury furniture manufacturing heritage—where they focus on a core palette of 13 timbers and 14 stones, from mahogany and oak to verde alpi and nero bambu marble.
