For many, Easter marks the start of spring. The week of celebration balances fresh palettes, much-needed public holidays and al fresco dining, resulting in a reinvigorating trifecta which boosts spirits ready for the new season. Get yours off to a stellar start with a pretty Easter lunch.

Best enjoyed during the sunniest hours, Easter lunch is all about presentation and everything should look on point. Still unsure on how to make your celebrations less kitsch and more stylish? These pieces are set to up the ante of the underestimated celebration.

Pretty Tableware

The delicacy and refinement of Easter lunch calls for special tableware and we love pretty pastels for the main event. For each setting, pair an intricate placemat or charger with a complement of plates for an extra-special setting. A matching tureen and serving dishes are the most attractive way of displaying your glorious culinary creations and a classic three-piece carving set will allow you to carve your meat of choice without any fuss. Palm additions offer a traditional Easter motif whilst crisp white napkins are decidedly spring. Combined, these pieces are nothing short of spectacular, giving Easter dining an elegant makeover.

Spring Accessories

A formal celebration meal isn’t complete without some special styling and Easter is no exception. What says Easter more than an incredible floral arrangement centrepiece in a delicate turquoise vase? Pink and yellow tulips, white lilies and vibrant yellow daffodils are all favourites for fresh Easter flowers. Accessorise with touches of fauna with some deer, rabbit or bird sculptures as a reminder of the season’s new life. For longer tables spread your centrepiece out a little more by incorporating longer a candleholders (we love Michael Aram’s Butterfly Ginkgo Centrepiece) and coloured candles. Patterned tablecloths also add a little springtime happiness to any Easter spread.

Al Fresco Drinks Essentials

Whether before or after your Easter lunch, al fresco drinks are a joy of the spring season. With thoughts of warming tonics by the cosy fire fading as memories, spring suggests fresh flavours, exotic ingredients and chilled beverages. A classic decanter will handle your selection of wines, a glass jug containing your special punch recipe and pitchers of ice water will provide your guests with all the refreshment they need on a sunny day. Don’t forget to supply an array of glasses (water, highballs and wines are your staples) for your guests cocktail whims.
